Website layout is unique for each project and there are high requirements to cross browser compatibility and design conformity.
Website layout testing includes a lot of routine operations, such as taking screenshots of various page states in different resolutions and in various browsers, composing layers in design document, superpositioning layers with transparency, comparison. As a result,an error probability as well as the cost of testing is high.In this talk I want to introduce the automated website layout testing approach used at SmartHead company. The tool based on this approach helps us to reduce the cost of testing and minimize routine operations. As an outcome, the testing results quality got higher and the testing procedure became easily accessible for all employees.
